For any special occasion, the Menlyn Gift Card provides the perfect gift. For birthdays or special days like Mother’s Day and Father Day, the gift cards are available in denominations from R50 to R5000. They are available at either of the Information Desks in the centre. Gift cards can be purchased for any amount between R50 and R5000 and are valid for three (3) years from the date of purchase. Should you wish to purchase cards of a larger value, more than one card will be issued.

Please Note:

• Positive identification is required for FICA and bank purposes.
• Remember to sign the signature panel upon receipt of your gift card.
• The gift card cannot be reloaded. Once all the funds have been used, please destroy the card.
• The gift card is accepted at all our stores as “debit card”, with preloaded funds.
• Your gift card can be spent in stages, but remember to check your balance regularly.

CORPORATE GIFT CARD PURCHASES:

The gift card is an excellent employee or client incentive. Should you wish to purchase gift cards for your organisation, please send an email to Precious.Machengoane@menlynpark.co.za with the following information:

1. Copy of Tax Clearance Certificate
2. Copy of Proof of Registered address
3. Quantity and denominations of cards required and;
4. The details of the person who will be collecting the vouchers from the mall including full name, contact number and ID number.
5. Our corporate sales manager will inform you about our FICA requirements.

An invoice will be issued to the company. Once payment has been received either via EFT or credit card (credit card holder needs to be present; maximum of R150,000 per transaction), we will arrange for the gift cards to be collected.

We require a 24 hour notice after confirmation of payment between Mondays and Fridays to collate your order.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE MENLYN PARK SHOPPING CENTRE GIFT CARD

Your application for and use of the Menlyn Park Shopping Centre gift card will be subject to the following terms and conditions:

1. You agree that these terms and conditions apply to you and, and subsequent gift cardholder, by gift or otherwise.
2. We may verify your identity and may decline to issue a gift card if you are unable to present satisfactory proof of your identity (i.e. ID Documentation, Passport, or Drivers’ License, and any other FICA requirements where applicable)
3. This gift card may only be used in South Africa and will be accepted at Menlyn Park Shopping Centre (Pretoria).
4. This gift card may be used to pay for goods and services at suppliers and merchants at Menlyn Park Shopping Centre.
5. An extra fee of R20.00 (twenty rand) shall be levied per transaction for the usage of the gift card outside of Menlyn Park Shopping Centre.
6. No remote redemptions are allowed, such as ordering via mail, telephone or internet.
7. The total Rand amount of the purchases will be deducted from the value of the gift card.
8. All transactions in excess of the gift card balance will be declined and will be for your own account.
9. The gift card may not be used for any illegal transactions. It is your responsibility to determine whether a transaction is legal or not.
10. Misuse of the gift card may constitute fraud and may lead to prosecution.
11. This gift card has an expiry date which is 3 years after the date of issue. This gift card is valid until the last day of the month which is printed on the front of the card (marked expiry date).
12. Lost or stolen gift cards must be reported to the customer service line 086 111 4093 immediately, together with original receipts of purchase and the gift card number. Lost or stolen gift cards can also be reported at the Shopping Centre’s Information Kiosk together with original receipts of purchase and the gift card number. A SAPS affidavit is required for reissue of lost/stolen Gift card/s.
13. A re-activation fee will be charged on lost, stolen, damaged or defaced cards. The re-activation fee is R20 (twenty rands) per card per incident.
14. A gift card can be loaded with a minimum amount of R50.00 (fifty) and maximum amount of R5 000.00 (five thousand).
15. A daily limit of R5000 (five thousand) per customer will apply to all gift card buyers.
16. Value Added Services (“VAS”) Rates will apply for all SMS balance enquiries being R…… per enquiry. To check the balance on your gift card you should SMS the 16-digit card number to 34246. Alternatively, you can obtain your balance by calling our “balance enquiry” line 083 918 7700 or by visiting the Information Kiosk at Menlyn Shopping Centre.
17. The gift card may not be refunded or exchanged for cash or credit.
18. Purchase authorization will be declined if these terms and conditions are breached.
19. When paying with this gift card, you must sign a transaction receipt of purchase and keep it for your records.
20. All original receipts of purchase must be kept by the purchaser or recipient of the gift card and presented when reporting a lost, stolen or damaged or defaced gift cards.
21. The gift card will be stopped as soon as reasonably possible after we are advised, but you will be responsible for all payments made with the gift card prior to notification of the loss and/or theft.
22. If monies can’t be recovered in time because of the failure to present the original receipts or gift card number when reporting a lost or stolen gift card, Menlyn Park Shopping Centre or its Owners or its duly appointed agents will not be responsible or liable to pay monies back to the gift cardholder.
23. Unauthorized transactions reported by you will be investigated after receipt of an affidavit that you did not authorize the transaction.
24. Replacement of lost, stolen, damaged or defaced gift cards will be done at the sole discretion of the Marketing Team of Menlyn Park Shopping Centre, Menlyn Park Shopping Centre, its Owners and its duly appointed agents will not be held liable for damage, loss, theft or copying of the gift card or for any malfunctions with respect to the in-instore point of sales equipment, save for negligence, gross negligence and/or willful misconduct on our side.
25. Menlyn Park Shopping Centre, its Owners and its duly appointed Agents will not accept responsibility should any tenant decline the gift card as a form of payment.
26. The amount registered on the cardholder’s gift card will not accrue any interest.
27. The gift card can’t be used for banking transactions and/or to pay other liabilities.
28. To the extent relevant, the purchase and use of the gift card is governed by the standard banking rules and regulations, and shall be deemed to be incorporated herein by reference.
29. Exchange and return of merchandise purchased in whole or in part with the gift card, will be governed by the procedures and policies of the merchant and the applicable law. At the time of any exchange or return, you must present both the merchandise receipt and the gift card.
30. You may, at any time, terminate this agreement by destroying the card. You will be responsible for any transactions if the gift card is not destroyed correctly and is subsequently used.
31. You may not vary the terms and conditions as set out above.
32. South African Law governs these terms and conditions.
