Terms & Conditions

Your application for and use of the Old Mutual Investment Group Property Investment Gift Card will be subject to the following terms and conditions:

1.	You agree that these terms and conditions apply to you and, any subsequent gift cardholder, by gift or otherwise.
2.	We may verify your identity and may decline to issue a gift card if you are unable to present satisfactory proof of your identity. ( i.e. ID Documentation).
3.	This gift card may only be used in South Africa and will be accepted at the following centers: Gateway Theatre of Shopping (Durban), Cavendish Square (Cape Town), The Zone @ Rosebank (Johannesburg), Vincent Park (East London), Menlyn Park (Pretoria) and Riverside Mall (Nelspruit).
4.	This gift card may be used to pay for goods and services at suppliers / merchants.
5.	No remote redemptions are allowed, such as ordering via mail, telephone or Internet.
6.	The total Rand amount of the purchases will be deducted from the value of the gift card.
7.	All transaction in excess of the gift card balance, will be declined.
8.	The gift card may not be used for any illegal transactions. It is your responsibility to determine whether a transaction is legal or not.
9.	Misuse of the gift card may constitute fraud.
10.	This gift card has an expiry date which is printed on the front of the gift card and it will be valid until the last day of the month as printed on the front of the gift card. The gift card may be reactivated.
11.	A reactivation fee will be charged on expired gift cards. Reactivation Fee is R15, which is subject to change.
12.	This gift card can be loaded with a minimum amount of R50.00 (fifty rand) and maximum amount of R5 000.00 (Five thousand rand).
13.	VAS Rates will apply for all sms balance enquiries. (To check the balance on the gift card, SMS the 16 digit card number to 41922).
14.	This gift card may not be refunded or exchanged for cash or credit
15.	Purchase authorization will be declined if terms and conditions are breached.
16.	When paying with this gift card, you must sign transaction receipts of purchase and keep it for your records.
17.	Original receipts of purchase need to be kept by the purchaser / recipient of the gift card and presented when reporting lost / stolen or damaged gift cards.
18.	Lost / Stolen gift cards needs to be reported to customer service line 086 111 1234 immediately, together with original receipts of purchase and the gift card number. Lost / Stolen gift cards can also be reported at the Shopping Centres (mentioned in clause 3 of the terms and conditions) Information Kiosk.
19.	The gift card will be stopped as soon as reasonably possible after being advised, but you will be responsible for all payments made with the gift card prior to notification of the loss and/or theft.
20.	If monies cannot be recovered in time because of failure to present original receipts or gift card number when reporting lost / stolen gift cards, the landlord will not be responsible or liable to pay monies back to the gift cardholder.
21.	Unauthorized transactions may be disputed by you who will be investigated after the receipt of an affidavit from you that you did not authorize the transaction.
22.	Replacement of lost / stole / damaged or defaced gift cards will be done at the sole discretion of the Center Management at the relevant shopping centre as recorded in clause 3.
23.	Replacement gift card fee of R10, which is subject to change, will be charged to the cardholder for a replacement gift card.
24.	The landlord and duly appointed agents will not be held liable for damage, loss, theft or copying of the gift card or for any malfunctions with respect to in-store point of sales equipment.
25.	The Landlord shall further not accept responsibility should any tenant not accept the gift card as form of payment.
26.	The amount registered on the cardholders' gift card will not accrue any interest.
27.	The gift card cannot be used for banking transactions and to pay debtors accounts.
28.	To the extent relevant, the purchase and use of this gift card is governed by standard banking rules and regulations, and shall be deemed to be incorporated herein by reference.
29.	Exchange and return of merchandise purchased in whole or in part with the gift card will be governed by the procedures and policies of the merchant and applicable law. At the time of any exchange or return, you should present both the merchandise receipt and the gift card.
30.	You may, at any time, terminate this agreement by destroying the card. You will be responsible for any transactions if the gift card is not destroyed correctly and is used.
31.	You may not vary the terms and conditions as set out above.
32.	South African Law governs these rules.
